19 Chairs

Designers Tom and Will Butterfield produced 19 beautiful chairs that they sent to various artists and designers (Tom Dixon, Jean Jullien, Morag Mysercough, Sabine Marcelis etc) and for some reason one of them came to me. We were asked to do whatever we wanted to them and return them to be auctioned for charity. I smashed mine to bits and then wrote some stupid instructions for the new owner to use to rebuild the chair, and put it into a ‘limited edition Tom Dicks on box’.
The chairs were exhibited at Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross in 2020.
